Practice Areas

Betsy D. Brugg is a principal with Fix Spindelman Brovitz & Goldman. She represents clients in several practice areas, including real estate development and transactions, business, and estate planning. Ms. Brugg represents developers, property owners, and others in the zoning and governmental approval processes applicable to land use and real estate development. She has represented clients in the governmental approval processes for a broad variety of uses including big boxes, telecommunications, restaurants, gas stations and auto related uses, affordable housing, office uses, hotels, industrial uses, residential and mixed use developments, senior uses, and other types of development. She has advised municipalities in municipal, zoning and land use matters. Her practice includes representation in all aspects of real estate ownership- including purchase and sale, contracts, financing, construction, leasing, real property tax assessment, and other real estate issues.

Ms. Brugg also represents new and established businesses and individuals in business related matters and transactions, ranging from formation of start-up companies to succession planning, day to day business issues, contracts, sales and purchases, and other matters. She also represents clients in the area of estate planning.

Ms. Brugg is involved in the Rochester community. She is a speaker to professional and community groups in the areas of zoning and land use, real estate and business law. She is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys. Ms. Brugg is also licensed in Connecticut. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Advocacy Center, and of the Upstate New York Families for Effective Autism Treatment. She is an active supporter of many local causes. Ms. Brugg is also fluent in the Spanish language.
