Norman M. Spindelman is the Senior Principal of Fix Spindelman Brovitz & Goldman. Working exclusively with the firm for more than 50 years, Mr. Spindelman's practice focuses on litigation--primarily commercial. In addition, he also practices in the area of Health Care, Nursing Homes, Assisted Care and Independent Living.

Mr. Spindelman's rich and vibrant legal career has included arguing before the United States Supreme Court where he was admitted and argued at age 28. He has also argued before many appellate courts as well, including eight Federal Appeals Courts, the New York Court of Appeals and four Appellate Divisions in New York State. He was a member of Lloyds of London for approximately seventeen years. As part of that experience the firm represented several Lloyd’s syndicates in upstate New York and tried a variety of cases covering all of the broad fields that Lloyds wrote in. He is currently handling three lead poisoning cases.

In his work, Mr. Spindelman enjoys solving the myriad of complex problems that can arise in the legal process. He states: "We place a great deal of importance in dealing with people, not matters...the client's interests are our only interests." This is the firm's vision for now and into the future.

In addition to his professional practice, Mr. Spindelman is highly active in the local community. He has been a board member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Rochester Broadway Theater League, Rochester Shakespeare Society and Hochstein School of Music. He is also active with the Rochester Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and is a past board member of the Visiting Nurses Society. Professionally, Mr. Spindelman is a lecturer for the National Institute of Advocacy. He is presently a member of various honorary boards as well.
